This service aims to provide “physiotherapy for health & fitness” plans for adults aiming to restore, build or maintain physical activity levels.
With strong support for the positive association between increased levels of physical activity, exercise participation and improved health in older adults, we are delighted to facilitate this service.
We aim to provide a safe environment where adults aged 50+ can start exercising within a gym setting, facilitating benefits known to be associated with strength training. These include benefits associated with bone health, maintenance of muscle mass, and aerobic fitness, as well as positive effects on specific chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, neurological conditions (e.g: Parkinsons’ Disease)
